Tenishea Turner is the Director of Community Engagement for the City of Princeton. Ms. Turner is responsible for the City of Princeton’s brand standards and logo management, community outreach, media relations, publications, social media, special events, and website content.

Prior to joining the City of Princeton’s staff, Ms. Turner was employed with the Department of Commerce as a Partnership Specialist. She was responsible for developing partnerships with local governments, community and faith-based organizations, school districts, and businesses in Collin, Denton, Fannin, and Rockwall County.

Ms. Turner considers herself to be a passionate community servant with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals in identifying their potential and passion to serve others. With this ongoing quest to give, she has been able to promote significant, positive change in communities and individuals through advocacy, empowered by compassion. Her focus on community collaboration has led her to several volunteer opportunities and community leadership roles. Honed by her service in the US Army, business, and community, Ms. Turner has the experience, skills, and drive to get things done, and has gained valuable experience in a full spectrum of issues impacting the community.

Ms. Turner received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s in Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University.  She also holds numerous certifications from the FEMA Emergency Management Institute, the Office of Emergency Preparedness, Columbus, OH, the American Red Cross, and the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.

Ms. Turner resides in McKinney, with her husband and their children.
