Princeton, Texas: Today, Monday, November 13, 2023, a swearing in ceremony was held at the Municipal Center, Mayor Brianna Chacon administered the oath of office to Interim Police Chief James Waters, officially appointing him as the new Police Chief for the City of Princeton Police Department.
Mayor Chacon expressed her confidence in Chief Waters, stating, "We are proud to have Chief Waters at the helm of our police department. His leadership, experience, and dedication to our community align with the values we hold dear in Princeton. I am confident that under his guidance, our police department will continue to serve and protect the residents of our city with the utmost professionalism and integrity."
Chief Waters, a seasoned law enforcement professional with 20 years of experience, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the dedicated men and women of the Princeton Police Department. "It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the Police Chief for the City of Princeton," said Chief Waters. "I am committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and community partnership. Together with our officers and the community we serve, we will work towards creating a safe and secure environment for everyone."
