Under Article 62.08 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, information contained in either an adult or juvenile's Sex Offender Registration Form subsequently entered into the Texas Department of Public Safety database is public information. However, certain restrictions apply.
The police department makes available to its residents a variety of online resources for the tracking of registered sex offenders residing within the city limits. Resources include:
Texas DPS Sex Offender Registry: Pursuant to Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Art. 62.005, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) establishes this website as the official Internet public access to the DPS sex offender registration computerized central database.
Offender Watch: Offender Watch is a website not associated with the City of Princeton that manages sex offender registrations and community notifications at both the state and local level.
If you have any questions or concerns about registered sex offenders, please contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 972-736-3901
