Animal Control
In accordance with Chapter 10 of the City of Princeton Code of Ordinances, the Police Department is responsible for enforcing laws and statutes regarding animals within the City, including but not limited to:
- Registration of Animals
- Animals Running-at-Large
- Prohibited Animals
- Wild Animals
- Animal Nuisances
- Vicious Animals
- Rabies Control
- Impoundment of Animals
The Police Department currently contracts with Collin County Animal Services to enforce most complaints regarding animals. You may contact them at 972-547-7292 concerning animal complaints within the City.
Persons encountering dangerous or rabid animals may call either 9-1-1 or the Collin County Sheriff’s Office at 972-736-3555.
