Property Room/Evidence
The Property and Evidence Section maintains custody and control of all evidence, seizures, and property. The Evidence Custodian is responsible for coordinating the delivery of all illegal drugs and evidence to the proper laboratory for analysis and to the proper court for presentation. If you have property that needs to be retrieved from the Property and Evidence Section, please schedule an appointment with the Evidence Custodian by calling 972.736.3901.
Criminal Investigation Division
The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for managing and conducting in-depth investigations from the on-set at the crime scene through prosecution in court. Criminal Investigators attend numerous hours of advanced training, and are adapt to handle even the most complex investigations. Criminal Investigators are typically assigned to work 8–hour shifts, Monday through Friday, and are on call for serious crimes committed after normal business hours.
