Insurance

The City of Princeton provides medical, dental, vision and life at no cost to all full-time , regular employees.  Employees may purchase AFLAC.  Dependents  may be covered under some of the plans.  All employees are covered by workers compensation for injuries sustained in the line of duty.

Holidays

All full-time, regular employees receive fourteen (14) paid holidays per year.

Vacation

One (1) through twenty-four (24) months of services will earn ten (10) days of vacation annually.

Twenty-five (25) through thirty-six (36) months of service will earn fifteen (15) days of vacation annually.

Thirty-seven (37) through one hundred and eighty (180) months of service will earn twenty (20) days of vacation annually.

One hundred and eighty (180) months of service and up will earn twenty-five (25) days of vacation annually.

Sick

Employees will be given 32 hours of sick leave at the beginning of each calendar year.

Extended Illness Leave

Employees shall accrue 8.7 hours of extended illness leave per month to a maximum accrual of 720 hours.

Retirement

The City of Princeton is a member of the Texas Municipal Retirement System.  Employees contribute 7% of their salary to the program. 

Direct Deposit

Employees may elect to have their paychecks automatically deposited to any bank requested.

Longevity Pay 

Longevity pay is defined as an extra pay or bonus for satisfactory, continuous employment. The annual service incentive shall be paid at the rate of five dollars ($5.00) pay for each month served in City service up to a maximum of fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00) pay per employee.
